These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the website www.thmdnj.com and the services provided under the name Top Hat Mobile Detailing.

Top Hat Mobile Detailing is not a separate legal entity. It is a trade name (DBA) of Top Hat Auto Boutique, LLC, a limited liability company organized and operating in the State of New Jersey. All services, transactions, and agreements are entered into with Top Hat Auto Boutique, LLC.

Thank you for choosing Top Hat Mobile Detailing. By booking services, using our website, or allowing us to perform services on your vehicle, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Top Hat Mobile Detailing provides professional mobile automotive detailing, ceramic coating, paint correction, interior cleaning, and related services at customer-designated locations.

Service availability, scope, duration, and pricing vary depending on vehicle condition, selected package, and add-ons.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service for any reason, including unsafe working conditions or misrepresentation of vehicle condition.

2. Appointments & Scheduling

  • Appointments are scheduled in advance and subject to availability.
  • Customers must provide accurate vehicle information and service location details.
  • A 10% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your appointment. If you need to reschedule, the deposit will be applied toward your new appointment date.
  • Changes to appointments should be communicated at least 48 hours in advance.
  • If a service is canceled on the same day it was confirmed, a 100% cancellation fee will apply. No-shows are subject to the same 100% charge.

3. Access & Work Area Requirements

The customer is responsible for providing:

  • Safe access to the vehicle
  • Adequate working space
  • Permission to operate on the property

Water and power access may be required unless otherwise arranged. Unsafe or hazardous environments may result in service cancellation without refund.

4. Vehicle Condition Disclosure

Customers must disclose:

  • Excessive dirt, biohazards, mold, bodily fluids, pest infestations, or severe contamination
  • Aftermarket modifications or sensitive materials

Failure to disclose such conditions may result in additional charges, service refusal, or cancellation.

5. Pricing & Additional Services

  • Prices are based on vehicle size, condition, and selected services.
  • Additional services may be recommended after inspection.
  • Each service is allocated a standard timeframe. If additional time is required due to excessive dirt, pet hair, stains, or other special conditions, an additional charge of $100 per hour (billed in 15-minute increments) will apply. Should your vehicle require extra work, we will review the details and obtain your approval before proceeding.

By approving additional services, the customer agrees to the updated total price.
 All approved services are non-refundable once performed.

6. Payments

  • Payment is due upon completion of service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Accepted payment methods are cash, credit/debit card or Zelle.
  • Failure to remit payment may result in collection action or service denial.

7. Refunds & Satisfaction

Due to the nature of detailing services:

  • All services are final and non-refundable once completed.
  • If concerns arise, they should be raised before the technician leaves the job site.

We will make reasonable efforts to address concerns when reported promptly.

8. Ceramic Coatings & Paint Correction

Ceramic coatings and paint correction services:

  • Do not eliminate all imperfections
  • Are dependent on vehicle condition and maintenance
  • Require proper aftercare for optimal performance, and for any warranty to be honored by its manufacturer.

No guarantee is made against future damage caused by road debris, weather, improper washing, or neglect.

9. Liability Disclaimer

While Top Hat Auto Boutique, LLC, doing business as Top Hat Mobile Detailing, exercises the utmost care and professional judgment during all services, we cannot be held responsible for pre-existing conditions, normal wear and tear, or failures of vehicle components that occur during the detailing process.

This includes, but is not limited to, loose or deteriorated trim, cladding, fragile plastics, license plate frames or covers, loose or aftermarket badges, wind deflectors, touch-up paint, stickers, decals, or similar items that may detach, loosen, or be damaged during washing, pressure washing, or detailing services.

Customers acknowledge that aging materials, prior repairs, aftermarket installations, or previously weakened components may be susceptible to failure during normal detailing procedures. By authorizing service, the customer assumes this risk and agrees that Top Hat Auto Boutique, LLC shall not be liable for such occurrences.

We are not responsible for mechanical, electrical, or structural issues, nor for damage caused by pre-existing defects, environmental exposure, or improper prior repairs.

10. Personal Property

Customers are responsible for removing personal items from their vehicle.
 We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings left inside the vehicle. Therefore, we kindly ask that you:

  • Remove all personal belongings, valuables, and loose items from the vehicle prior to the appointment
  • Remove any car seats or booster seats before our arrival. While we will clean around them if necessary, we are unable to remove or reinstall child safety seats due to safety and liability considerations.

11. Photo & Video Authorization

We take pride in showcasing our work. By booking a service, you grant permission for Top Hat Auto Boutique, LLC (DBA Top Hat Mobile Detailing) to capture photos and videos of your vehicle before, during, and after service for marketing and promotional purposes.
We will never display license plates, home addresses, or personally identifiable information without your prior consent. If you prefer that your vehicle not be photographed or featured, please notify us in advance, and we will gladly respect your request.

12. Weather Policy

Mobile detailing services are weather-dependent. In the event of unsafe weather conditions, services may have to be rescheduled.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on www.thmdnj.com — including text, images, logos, and branding — is the property of Top Hat Auto Boutique, LLC and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.

14. Privacy

Use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected and used.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

16. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
